On April 26-27, 2022, the Institute for Strategic Leadership Development Research (Sleader) and Tien Nong Industrial & Agricultural Joint Stock Company successfully held a Syntegration Conference and arrived at certain innovative solutions to simultaneously achieve 3 goals “Better design, better quality and lower cost” in product manufacturing.
With the vision of becoming a leading innovative company in the field of plant nutrition, Tien Nong Industrial & Agricultural Joint Stock Company has now taken a great position in the plant nutrition industry by being in the top 10 largest producer of NPK fertilizers in Vietnam as well as giving a lot of supports to farmers to improve economic efficiency and sustainability in agriculture. During 27 years of foundation and development, Tien Nong has always been attached to the ups and downs and the glory of Vietnamese agriculture.
The most important target that Tien Nong aims to in the up-coming years is to provide the most modern scientific and technological advances for farmers; and to provide the best quality products and services for the development of agricultural economy as well as the prosperity of farmers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the whole world to struggle. Despite the economic stagnation, Tien Nong still feels the urge to conduct business restructuring and reboot the whole system.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Phong shared: “27 years ago, Tien Nong was founded for the sake of my family. Now, we reboot this company again for our employees and our community. Therefore, it is necessary for our employees to directly participate in discussing, figuring out and implementing the solutions and promote the creativity of the Tien Nong people”.
After consulting about several advanced models in the world, Tien Nong’s General Director decided on the Syntegration – one of the most intelligent management tools, invented by Malik Institute, Switzerland, which has been successfully applied for many businesses in Europe.
Very quickly and decisively, Tien Nong\’s Board of Directors invited the strategic partner of Malik Institute in Vietnam, Sleader, to negotiate and finally entered a contract to deploy the Syntegration Conference for the entire production department of the Company. The acumen and creativity of General Director Nguyen Hong Phong shows when he chose to implement the Syntegration with the bottom-up approach. That is, starting with the direct production workers and then proceeding to the higher management level.
The Syntegration Conference of Tien Nong Company took place in 2 days, April 26 – 27, 2022 with the enthusiastic participation of 24 employees of the production department. With the intelligent digital technology transfered by Malik Switzerland and the guidance of experts from Sleader, discussions and critical time have yielded many good results.
Many specific practical solutions to simultaneously achieve 3 goals “Better design, better quality and lower cost” in product manufacturing had been created by 24 members of Tien Nong. Moreover, after the Syntegration Conference, the members gained deeper insight into Tien Nong\’s mission and their own role in the Big Picture. Therefore, they became more engaged and determined to develop the company to a new level in the second start-up phase.”

Regarding the diverse benefits of the Syntegration, Dr. Duong Thu – Director of the Institute of Strategic Leadership Developmental Research (Sleader) emphasized: “Syntegration can be applied to solve all problems of enterprises, from big ones like strategy formulation and implementation, digital transformation, restructuring, revenue growth, cost cutting… to even seemingly impossible missions like achieving the 3-in-1 goal “Better design, better quality and lower cost” in product manufacturing.”
Syntegration had created a “hyper-interactive“ and “hyper-connected” process wherein, for the first time, Tien Nong’s people were able to make 552 interactions, participated in nearly 30 large and small meetings, proposed more than 250 opinions and created 33 creative, feasible, and practical solutions in only two days.
Moreover, they also reached a high consensus by making the most of the wisdom of the people who directly do the work. Therefore, the implementation phrase is to succeed because the participants of the Syntegration Conference will be responsible for implementing the solutions they co-authored.
